This vibrant Neoregelia bromeliad is characterized by its striking bright pink and green striped leaves that form a distinctive central rosette cup. To maintain its vivid coloration, the plant requires bright, indirect sunlight, as direct sun can scorch the leaves while low light can cause the colors to fade. Proper care involves keeping its central cup, also known as the "tank," constantly filled with clean water while only lightly watering the potting mix when it completely dries out. Because these plants are native epiphytes that naturally grow on trees, they must be housed in a highly aerated, fast-draining medium such as orchid bark, perlite, or coconut husk chips to prevent root rot.
