The silver buttonwood (Conocarpus erectus var. sericeus) is a durable coastal shrub or small tree celebrated for its striking silvery-gray, velvety-soft foliage. It is exceptionally salt and drought tolerant, making it a staple choice for windbreaks, hedges, and accent plantings in tropical coastal regions. To maintain its full density and bright, reflective leaf color, this low-maintenance plant thrives best when grown in full sun
